Challenging and creative, Buying is all about developing ranges, sourcing and driving product forward, negotiating cost prices, and contributing to our brands' product strategies. MERCHANDISING

Working alongside our Buying teams, Merchandising helps to plan and create ranges for the new season so that we’re maximising sales and profits. Careful planning, maintaining targets and successful distribution and promotion of stock are all part of it and you’ll need strong commercial awareness coupled with excellent analytical and numerical skills to join.

DESIGN

We take our inspiration from everywhere – be that the catwalk, street music or a painting – and transform those ideas into desirable products for our customers. Our teams are involved across the entire design lifecycle from research through to presenting ideas to our Buying, Merchandising and Technical teams. MARKETING, VM and PRESS

RETAIL OPERATIONS

Retail Operations ensures our stores and field teams are connected to the business. From planning and producing retail documents (newsletters, bulletins etc.), to answering branch queries, they keep everyone in the know.

Retail Operations also connects with our customers. Home Delivery takes orders from our customers over the phone and liaises with branches to supply the right product for them. Customer Services helps with all customer queries. And our Website team answers any queries relating to our online shopping.

Excellent customer service skills and a confident telephone manner are essential here, along with great communication, problem solving and commercial awareness. Any retail and administration will help you fit in quickly.

FINANCE

We have ambitious plans. Our Finance teams help shape and inform our strategic decisions and support all areas of our business.

International Finance manages all financial aspects of our expanding overseas business. Financial Control looks after the timely and accurate financial information for Monsoon Accessorize (including accounts payable as well as retail accounts). Planning & Analysis provides analytical reviews, management information and business planning. And Group Finance prepares the consolidated accounts, treasury and statutory accounts and tax returns to meet legal requirements.

Our Finance teams need a broad range of people, with qualifications ranging from relevant work experience through to CIMA, ACCA and ACA qualifications. Naturally an affinity for numbers, accuracy and attention to detail are key.

IT

In a company of our size, it’s essential our communications and transactions are smooth. Our IT department supports, develops and manages systems for our London office, International offices, our Distribution Centre as well as supporting all of our branches.

Our Delivery team monitors and support all the systems and processes, including the systems between the branches, merchandising systems and our distribution centre. It also looks after the systems that support Accounts, HR and the PCs and servers that deliver these functions in head office. Whilst the Business Analysis team provides all of the weekly sales reporting and reporting tools whilst continually improving processes and procedures in line with business needs.

Our IT teams need people who have a thorough knowledge of IT systems, ideally – not essentially – within retail.

LOGISTICS AND DISTRIBUTION

Getting our goods to the right place (whether that’s in the UK or overseas – by air, sea or road), on time, with minimum environmental impact and in tip top condition is no mean feat. That’s the job of our Logistics team and distribution centre in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. To join our logistics and distribution teams, any export experience is useful. To work in our distribution centre, you’ll ideally have some experience in warehouse operations and stock control.

PROPERTY  AND FACILITIES

With over 1,000 stores, our distribution centre, head office, and regional offices throughout the world… this department has its work cut out.

The Property team acquires and manages all of our properties, dealing with everything from day-to-day buildings maintenance, to large scale upgrading and refurbishment projects. The Facilities department looks after our working environment – things such as maintenance and catering, as well as providing vital support services to our Head Office and staff. Wherever you work, you’ll need excellent project management skills and the ability to work within budget and deliver on schedule, to time.
