We have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Non-Stock Team Leader based out of our Distribution Centre in Wellingborough. Reporting to our Accounts Payable Manager, you will supervise a small team who administer the non stock part of our AP Ledger covering store rents and other store and head office costs. What will you do as an Accounts Payable Team Leader?
Supervising the team, allocating tasks and checking payment batches to ensure that all payments are accurate and timely
Running a particular section of the ledger and providing cover for all other sections as required
Setting up BACs and CHAPs payments and drawing cheques
Communicating effectively with suppliers and internal customers including resolving queries
Ensuring supplier accounts are maintained and managed on a timely basis and that any issues arising are addressed promptly
Ensuring compliance to purchase ledger procedures and company policies, including authorisation
Meeting monthly financial reporting deadlines and producing monthly reconciliation of accounts
Working on and achieving targets set such as KPIs including the clearance of old and queried items
What you will need to succeed as an Accounts Payable Team Leader?
You will have proven experience in Accounts Payable and the ability to manage a small team. You will be someone who thrives in a diverse, commercial and fast paced environment. You will a highly numerate individual and a proficient user of all Microsoft packages with excellent Excel skills. A good working knowledge of CODA system and/or dealing with the payment of large volume property rents would be advantageous. Your excellent communication ability coupled with your accuracy and problem solving skills will ensure your success in this role.
